Pete Vidamour

Peter played his early cricket for a couple of clubs in Guernsey but latterly has been a long presence in the Cobo line-up. He was capped by the island in 1982, #82. He was voted the Guernsey Cricket Association player-of-the-year award in 1989. He has been playing so long that he managed to win the GCB Veteran-of-the-year award in 2008. He first played in the European Cricketer Cup in 1990 and has made many appearances for the GCA team against the JCL side, the Over 40s and the full island team. As recently as 2010 he scored 61 for the O40s and laid the foundations for 44 run win.

At senior level he scored 179 runs at 17.9, took 2 catches and made 12 appearances.

In November 2010 the GCB appointed him as senior island cricket squad manager taking over from Dave Hearse and working with island coach Andy Cornford. He resigned in 2012. Now back on the Guernsey Cricket Board as an overseer.
