Nick Alexander Derbyshire was born in 1970. Between 1994 and 1996 he played first-class cricket for Essex and Lancashire as a fast bowler. In 5 matches he scored 52 runs and bowled 85-12-303-5. He also featured in 77 games for their 2nd XIs from 1989 to 1996. When he came to Guernsey he played for Rovers and his only appearance for Guernsey was in a win by 5 wickets in 2004 where he bowled 8-2-25-0

W E Hopwood played one match for Nottinghamshire against Northern Command in 1943. The match was unfortunately rained off after a few overs. In 1951 he played for Guernsey in the Inter Insular match which was draw. He bowled 12-3-26-2

Ward Jenner, mainly a Jersey cricketer, came to Guernsey with his job for a few years in the late 90s. He had played one match for Hampshire 2nd XI against Glamorgan in which he scored 5 and 0.

He played twice in the Inter Insular for Guernsey in which he was captain but lost on both occasions and scored just 15 runs. His son, Jonty, was born whilst in Guernsey and played for Sussex and even fielded for England as a substitute for Stuart Broad during the first Test between England and South Africa in July 2017. He played one first-class match for Sussex against South Africa A when he scored 68.

Norman Elwin Scrafton was born in Madras, India in 1914. He played 8 times for Dorset in the Minor Counties league where he scored 199 runs (High score 50) and bowled 21.2-3-58-4. Somehow he played a match for Guernsey in 1934 when they entertained the MCC at College Field. Guernsey scored 271 of which Scrafton made 37 (and Charles Grieve scored 106). The MCC scored 158 with Scrafton bowling 4-0-25-0. In the second innings the MCC following on scored 257-8 declared with Scrafton bowling 5-1-16-0. In Guernsey’s second innings they finished on 78-3 with Scrafton making 24, the match ending in a draw.

Robin Arthur Winstone was born in 1938 in Wolverhampton. He played for Oxfordshire from 1956 to 1972 making 31 appearances, scoring 476 runs and bowling 47-13-135-3

He moved to Guernsey as a  teacher at Elizabeth College and played two Inter Insular matches from 1977 where he scored 28 runs and bowled 3-0-12-0, one draw one loss.

Timothy Robert Lewis Duke   was born in 1977 in Saffron Walden. He played twice for Essex 2nd XI bowling 6-1-24-0 and 4-0-16-0. In 1996 he played for Cambridgeshire twice and bowled 10-1-58-2 and 10-1-28-1.

In Inter Insular matches in his 7 appearances he scored 35 runs and bowled 38.2-6-123-8 and altogether in 11 matches for Guernsey he scored 36 runs and bowled 49.2-6-195-9

James Stephen John Gale was born in Shrewsbury in 1986. He played 5 matches for Shropshire scoring 10 runs and bowling leg breaks in 61-14-217-5.

He played in 2 Inter Insular matches from 2012 scoring 37 runs and bowling 3-0-27-0

His father Stephen Clifford Gale also played for Shropshire in 5 List A matches scoring 156 runs (high score of 68). In Minor County cricket he played 108 matches scoring 2892 runs (high score of 104*) and bowling 7-1-36-0. In 7 Trophy matches he scored 92 runs.

Glenn Stefan Milnes was born in 1974 in New Zealand. His grandfather also played for Otago 9 times and scored 354 runs and bowled 20-5-54-2          see separate article
